Have you ever been in a situation where one of your household appliance has just stopped working and you just got very nervous about that? Buying a new machine may cost us some money which we were not planning to spend for it.
The worst case I think is when the washing machine stops working or doesn’t clean the clothes so well. Moreover, there are cases when it works but it makes the clothes smell like mildew after washing them. in such a case you would probably think of buying a new one. There is no problem with the washing machine at all but with the dirt and grime on the unreachable parts of your washing machine.
In order to clean it out, all you need are two ingredients: Clorox bleach and 16 ounces of white vinegar. Note that you shouldn’t use these two ingredient together as they can be toxic. You should first use one then the other.
For the first part you should mix the bleach with some warm water and wipe down all the accessible affected areas – including under the rubber sealing. If you find it hard to scrub some areas you just leave the soaked towel on the top for 20 minutes. In this way, the bleach will kill mildew.
For the second part you should add in 16 ounces of vinegar and keep the washer set to the highest temperature. Finally, your washing machine will be cleaned and mildew free.
